BRETT STEVENS RACING APPOINTS BRIAN LAWRENCE AS TEAM COMMERCIAL MANAGER

Australia’s leading Drag Racing outfit Brett Stevens Racing has appointed Brian Lawrence to the position of team Commercial Manager, effective from the 23rd June.

Due to recent growth and some exciting new developments ahead for the team, Brian will use his years of industry experience and strong business acumen to take control of the direction and commercial success of the organisation and it’s projects

Team boss Brett Stevens is filled with anticipation about the appointment and what the future holds for his race team

“With his vast experience in commercial and project management over a career spanning more than 25 years in the motorsport industry, he was the standout applicant and I am very happy he has accepted the offer to join my team.”

Brian is equally as enthusiastic about his new role in the iconic Australian motor racing team.

“After sitting down and discussing what the future holds for the Brett Stevens Racing team with ‘The Boss’, it was really something that I wanted to be apart of.”

Brian has most recently worked for 4 years as the Commercial Manager for leading V8 Supercar team Stone Brothers Racing, as well as having a long list of previous management experience including the Marlboro Bike Series, Peter Jackson International Series, Bathurst 24hr and is one of four founding members of the current World Superbike Championship.

In addition, he has also provided motorsport consultancy to the Ford Motor Co of New Zealand Ltd, Goodyear New Zealand, Parker ENZED (NZ) Limited, Series Manager - New Zealand Supercar Series, Commercial Director - TraNZam Racing Group Ltd and MotorSport New Zealand Inc.
