MOTORSPORT STARS TO OPEN OFFICIAL ‘SP TOOL SHOP’ IN BUNDABERG

Drag Racing stars Brett ‘The Boss’ Stevens and Steve Packman from the Brett Stevens Racing team, along with V8 Supercar pin-up Shane Van Gisbergen from Stone Brothers Racing will be making a trip to the Wide Bay area of Queensland to be on hand as special guests at the official opening of The SP Tool Shop in Bundaberg on the 10th April.

On display for motorsport fans at the event will be Packman’s 3000 horsepower SP Racing Ford Falcon Top Doorslammer and the SP Racing team transporter.

Adding to this, Stevens will also be letting loose in the car park with his infamous Jack Daniel’s Racing Burnout Ute, showing what having 2500 horsepower on tap can do to a set of Drag Racing slicks.

“I have never had my race team in Bundaberg so the opening of The SP Tool Shop was the perfect opportunity to come and meet some the fans up here that don’t usually get the opportunity see a professional race team up close and personal,” Stevens said.

“It will definitely be something different for them, as well as having the SP Racing Top Doorslammer on display, I will also be firing up my Jack Daniel’s Burnout Ute for a bit of a play.”

“For anyone that has never experienced the show or just loves their cars they shouldn’t miss it, I’m really looking forward to burning some rubber, making a lot of noise and smoke and ensuring everyone has a good time.”

Stevens is one of Australia’s leading Drag Racers and is the only person in the world to compete in three professional Group 1 Drag Racing brackets simultaneously (Top Doorslammer, Top Bike and Top Alcohol).

Some of his recent Drag Racing accomplishments include winning the 2004 Australian Top Doorslammer and the 2005 Australian Top Bike Championships, member of the Australian Motorcycle Hall of Fame, holder of the quickest Australian Harley record with quarter mile run of 6.4 seconds, as well as various other records and titles.
